Kim Anderson True has 15 years of experience representing clients before the Maine Human Rights Commission and in state and federal courts, counseling clients on best practices for developing, motivating and retaining key employees and in minimizing risks through use of employee handbooks and policies. She served as Senior Employee Relations Consultant in a Fortune 500 company, where she advised and trained middle and senior level managers on employment related matters, drafted and interpreted employee policies, investigated and made recommendations on employee complaints, and addressed performance management and harassment issues. Kim also has extensive litigation experience handling insurance defense matters in state and federal courts. Kim graduated from Mount Holyoke College, with a BA in Psychology, and from the University of Maine School of Law, where she was winner of the First year Writing Prize and a member of Maine Law Review. Kim successfully completed the Institute for Civic Leadership's collaborative leadership program as a member of the Eta class and has participated in several Outward Bound programs. She is active in her local community and served on the school board for MSAD 51 from 1998-2002. Kim currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Center for Grieving Children in Portland. Kim lives in North Yarmouth with her husband, Jeffrey. They have two adult children, Emily and Benjamin. Kim's interests include kayaking, Nordic skiing, biking, hiking, gardening and traveling. |
