Katie Rowen’s practice focuses on civil litigation, business and employment law, administrative law and family law.  Katie is admitted to practice in Maine and Connecticut as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine.  Katie was a civil litigator with another firm in Portland prior to joining Taylor, McCormack & Frame, practicing primarily in the area of insurance defense.  She has counseled major corporations in products liability and wrongful death actions, has represented professionals before the state administrative boards and has advised numerous individuals and companies in premises liability actions.  She has also handled personal injury and family law matters for individuals in Maine.

Katie graduated from Colby College with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy.  At Colby, she was a White House intern and a four-year starter and captain of the women’s soccer team.  Katie earned her J.D. at Vermont Law School, where she also served on the Client Counseling Board and the Moot Court Honor Board. Her two-person team won the moot court competition during her second year of law school earning her a place on the National Moot Court Team. While in law school, Katie interned with the Maine Office of the Attorney General and the Conservation Law Foundation.  Following law school, Katie was a law clerk for the Maine Superior Court.

Katie is a member of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, the Edward T. Gignoux Inn of Court, the Maine Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association.  She is also on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine.  Katie enjoys hiking, cooking, skiing and running.
